Firefighters are battling a large scrub fire that has broken out in Whitford, South-east Auckland.
The fire started from a spark from a concrete cutter, a neighbour told Newshub.
Firefighters were called to Birch Park Lane at 12:48pm on Thursday, Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) shift manager Daniel Nicholson told Stuff.
A water tanker and five fire trucks are currently battling the blaze which according to Nicholson is 500m x 500m.
FENZ has yet to report if any properties are threatened by the fire.
The Police have yet to comment.
