You may remember the Pride Parade was cancelled last year, after Auckland Pride organisers caused a storm by banning uniformed police from taking part.
They've held firm to that and say police have not done enough to address the way they treat some minorities.
But not everyone agrees, and so on Saturday there will be a parade down Ponsonby Rd organised by a rival group called Rainbow Pride Auckland.
