A homicide inquiry has been launched after the death of two people at a property near Tauranga on Tuesday night.
At about 7:40pm on Tuesday, police received reports that shots had been fired at a property on Ormsby Lane, Omanawa.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found two men dead. The circumstances of the deaths are still being investigated and a scene examination at the property is underway.
"Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone with knowledge of those involved, to get in touch," said Det Insp Mark Loper.
