A man who allegedly sneezed and coughed on a woman at a supermarket in Auckland has been arrested.
The suspect followed her around Royal Oak Pak'nSave around 3pm, RNZ reported.
Police said he would be tested, but didn't appear to be showing any symptoms of COVID-19, which has killed 17 Kiwis to date.
A number of people have been charged after deliberately spitting and coughing at people, including police, since the pandemic began.
A Taranaki man who spat at police was jailed earlier this month, and an Auckland man charged with a similar offence faces 14 years behind bars.
There have also been cases in Hamilton and Rangiora.
