New Zealand's COVID-19 death toll remains at nine, with no more reported at Thursday's daily update.
Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield also revealed there are 15 more cases of the deadly disease in New Zealand, bringing the total to 1401. Of those, nine and probable and six confirmed. Eleven are linked to the 16 clusters currently known about.
More than half of those - 770 - have now recovered.
So far 70,160 tests have been carried out, 3661 of them on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the lockdown has been working, and the goal was still to eliminate the virus.
"We should not confuse the success of our actions with overreaction... Overall we have made a good start, but we need to keep going."
Fifteen is the lowest daily number of new cases since March 22, before the lockdown.
She confirmed any decisions on whether New Zealand will move to alert level 3 or stay in lockdown won't be revealed until Monday, but moving to level 3 would not mean giving up the goal of eliminating COVID-19 from New Zealand.
Level 3 would still require people to stay home where possible, she said, and going back to level 4 would remain a possibility.
