A large scrub fire broke out on top of Auckland's Mt Wellington on Tuesday night but has now been put out.
Emergency services responded to the fire after they were called to the scene at 7:20pm.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand confirmed here are six fire trucks attending and no homes were at risk of being damaged.
The fire crews dampened down hot spots from the fire which burned around 60 metres by 40 metres of scrub.
Video footage shows the fire had a large smoke cloud which could be seen from kilometres away.
