New Zealand has one new case of the coronavirus behind the disease COVID-19, the Ministry of Health reported on Sunday, and no more deaths to report.
The new confirmed case is a household contact of someone from the Rosewood cluster aged under 10.
It brings the total number of confirmed and probable cases to 1499. Of those, 1149 are confirmed and 1433 recovered - five more than on Saturday and 96 percent of all cases.
The death toll remains at 21.
"Today there are two people receiving hospital-level care for COVID-19 - one each in Auckland and Middlemore hospitals. Neither of these patients is in ICU," the ministry said in a statement, skipping the regular in-person media conference.
"We still have 16 significant clusters... The total number of tests completed to date is 228,148, an increase of 4211."
"New Zealanders have done a great job acting together against COVID-19 and we’ve worked hard to ensure physical distancing," the ministry said.
"Now we're moving to a new phase where many of us are heading back to work and school for the first time in a while. While some of us will be looking forward to being around people again, it might also feel strange and some people may feel anxious. These feelings are completely normal."
School returns in full on Monday, after a few weeks where only children of essential workers who couldn't stay home were in classes.
