New Zealand has two new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 1494, the Ministry of Health reported on Sunday.
Of those, 1144 are confirmed and 350 probable. Both new cases are confirmed - one in the Counties Manukau DHB area, the other in Waitemata.
One is linked to the St Margaret's cluster - a household contact of an earlier patient. They have been in isolation since the former case was notified.
The second case is imported from abroad.
Two people remain in hospital.
There are no new deaths to report, leaving the total toll at 21.
The total number recovered is now 1371, 92 percent of everyone confirmed or suspected to have had the disease, which has killed at least 280,000 people worldwide.
"Today’s two cases remind us that COVID-19 is a tricky virus and it will keep exploiting any opportunity to infiltrate our communities," the ministry said in a statement.
"Please, continue to follow the rules for alert level 3 and play it safe. Slackening off now only gives COVID-19 unnecessary opportunities to re-establish itself in New Zealand. Please, keep your distance from others when outside your bubble, particularly when you’re in recreational or leisure environments such as beaches or parks."
Of the 16 significant clusters, four are closed - meaning no new linked cases in four weeks.
Nearly 7300 tests were carried out on Saturday, bringing the total tested to 190,326. There's enough capacity at the moment to test another 83,000 people.
