Three people have died after they were trapped in a "submerged" vehicle in a farm pond on Sunday.
Emergency services responded to the incident near Raetihi in the central North Island at about 11am after being told a car had gone into a pond at a rural property.
Police say the three people were found dead after being recovered from the pond.
WorkSafe has been notified and police say it is working to support the family of those who died.
