A cybersecurity expert has revealed why New Zealand is considered a "soft target" for hackers and cybercrime.
Professor Hossein Sarrafzadeh spoke to The AM Show on Tuesday about New Zealand's online vulnerability, social media safety and possibly hacking Mark Richardson.
"I love New Zealand because we are a trusting nation," Sarrafzadeh said. "We trust people easily. That is one reason.
"Because we're a soft target, we might not be the ultimate target. They might hack us so they can get through to someone else."
