Another man has been arrested as part of an investigation into historical sexual offending at Auckland's Dilworth School.
A 60-year-old man has been charged in relation to sexual violation, attempted sexual violation, indecency and indecent assault, police confirmed on Tuesday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Geoff Baber said it comes after the police received dozens of calls in the last day regarding the case.
"Over the past 24 hours, the Operation Beverly team has received more than 50 calls and emails from members of the public," he said.
"Police are now assessing this information and will be making follow up enquiries on any relevant matters."
Dct Snr Sgt Baber said they understand it can be a difficult time for victims and they respect the courage of those who have contacted them.
"We continue to encourage anyone who may have information that can assist our investigation to come forward."
The new arrest comes after six men in their 60s and 70s were charged on Monday on a number of serious offences.
They include indecent assault and sexual violation and allegedly occurred across a number of decades from the 1970s to early 2000s.
Chair of the Dilworth Trust Board Aaron Snodgrass said during a press conference on Monday that the abuse was physical and emotional such as bullying and excessive corporal punishment.
He confirmed none of the men continue to have any connection to Dilworth School.
"The Board has full confidence in all of Dilworth School's current employees."
