A person has serious injuries after a shooting in south Auckland on Sunday night.
Emergency services were called to a house on Wedgewood Ave, in Mangere east, just after 9pm.
"One person is in a serious condition after a firearms incident at a Mangere East residential property," Det Snr Sgt Malcolm Hassall said.
"Enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances.
"A scene guard was in place overnight."
Police said officers are still working to figure out what happened and want anyone with information to call its non-emergency number on 105.
"Further updates will be provided when available," Hassall said.
