Auckland has recorded a new case of COVID-19 in the community with no link to the border or managed isolation facilities.
The latest case - a woman in her 20s - was revealed on Thursday during an impromptu press conference with Minister for COVID Response Chris Hipkins and Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield.
Hipkins said she developed COVID-19 symptoms on Monday, November 9 and was tested on Tuesday.
She had been at work every day between Sunday the 8th and Wednesday the 11th.
The woman worked at the A-Z Collection, a clothing store on Auckland's High Street. Dr Ashley Bloomfield says anyone who has visited the business since November 7 should get tested and isolate themselves.
Aside from going to work, she has had "limited" community interaction - she lives alone and has not visited a supermarket since potentially being infectious. While she studies at AUT, Bloomfield says she had not been physically present on campus since mid-October.
As an extra precaution, anyone who lives at or has visited the Vincent Residencies at 106 Vincent Street should be tested and isolate until their result comes back clear.
This case is one of three revealed on Thursday. One was detected in managed isolation and the other is linked to the November quarantine cluster. The quarantine-linked case had been in isolation since Saturday and all their household contacts are also isolated.
They are a member of the Defence Force and attended the lunch meeting at Wellington restaurant Little Penang. The Ministry of Health warns anyone who was at Little Penang between 1 and 4pm Friday, November 6 should be "very aware" of developing symptoms and should get tested if necessary.
