An additional 33 charges have been laid by police in relation to allegations of historical sexual offending at Auckland's Dilworth School.
Eighty more victims have been identified by Auckland Police since the investigation into the allegations, Operation Beverly, was launched in September.
Additional charges have been filed against five men aged between 68 and 78, Detective Senior Sergeant Geoff Baber from Auckland City's Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) confirmed in a statement on Tuesday.
All five men are currently before the court as a result of the investigation.
The 33 new charges include:
indecency with boys under 16 years old
inducing a boy under 12 to do an indecent act
indecency with a boy under 12
unlawful sexual connection with a male under 12
indecent assault.
All complaints are being investigated by members of the Operation Beverly investigation team.
Det Snr Sgt Baber said the operation received a "large volume" of calls and emails from former students of Dilworth School.
"I still encourage anyone with information to contact the Operation Beverly team," he said.
The investigation team can be contacted on (09) 302 6624, or by emailing operation.beverly@police.govt.nz.
Authorities have also clarified that the drug-related charges currently before the court relate to alleged offending by one defendant, and did not occur at Dilworth School or involve students from the school.
This defendant was not employed by Dilworth School during the time of this particular alleged offending, Baber said.
As matters are currently before the court, police are unable to make further comment.
