Discovery, Inc has officially completed its acquisition of MediaWorks TV - yet despite the new ownership, Three will still retain its unique voice.
It was announced on Tuesday that the international media giant had officially sealed the deal to become the new owners of multi-platform news service Newshub and the Three television channel.
Speaking to The AM Show on Wednesday morning, Glen Kyne, a general manager of the Discovery New Zealand division, said popular shows - such as The Block - are still on the cards.
"Everything people love about Three will remain," he said.
"You're going to see more content, more often, and be able to access it in more ways. We're very committed to local production… we have access to all of that expertise now."
