COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins and Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield are outlining how the Government plans to handle any potential community cases over the summer.
Hipkins announced on Sunday the Government's 'Make Summer Unstoppable' campaign, which will reinforce the importance of keeping coronavirus out of the community over the summer months, he said at the time.
He said Tuesday's announcement is in line with this campaign and it reinforces the "basic actions" New Zealanders can take to help stop the spread of the virus, such as regularly washing their hands and scanning QR codes with the COVID Tracer app.
The livestream is expected to begin at 3pm.
