Wellington police have arrested a 23-year-old man as part of an investigation into allegations of sexual assault involving a group of musicians.
The man has been charged with seven sexual assault related charges and will appear in court on Monday.
It follows a lengthy police operation spurred by allegations against several men posted on social media.
The allegations were centered around a group of Wellington musicians with dozens of people claiming they had been drugged and assaulted.
Police are asking anyone who has further information to call them on 105 and reference Operation Emerald.
"We will treat all calls with sensitivity and investigate thoroughly".
