The body of a 19-year-old who went missing from the Rhythm and Vines music festival has been found.
Police launched a search after Fletcher Wong was reported missing from the New Year's Eve festival on Tuesday.
Wong was last seen leaving the admissions area of the event grounds at Waiohika Estate at around 2am.
On Thursday, a police spokesperson confirmed LandSAR volunteers had located the body of a young man in the Ormond area of Gisborne, which was identified as Wong.
"Police extends its condolences to Fletcher's family and friends and is providing support," they said in a statement.
Police also said they wanted to thank Rhythm and Vines management and staff, along with the police staff and LandSAR volunteers who helped with the search.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand supplied a drone to help the search.
Members of Wong's family and friends were also involved in the search, which on Thursday involved a total of around 40 people.
