A man wanted by police over a suspected homicide in Christchurch has been found and charged with murder.
Police were seeking the 46-year-old in relation to the death of a man in Linwood on Sunday.
Emergency services received a report of a man in need of medical assistance on England Street at 2:50pm on January 3.
Michael Joseph Graham, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man wanted in connection with his death was found Tuesday afternoon and charged with Graham's murder.
"He is due to appear in Christchurch District Court tomorrow morning," a police spokesperson says.
The investigation into Graham's death is ongoing. Further updates will be provided when they become available, police say.
