Christchurch police have named a man they're seeking as part of a homicide investigation.
They want to talk with 46-year-old Nathan Te Hana in relation to the death of 57-year-old Michael Joseph Graham on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to a property on England St on Sunday afternoon, told he needed medical assistance - but he was soon declared dead.
"Enquiries have established he was involved in an assault at the address," said Det Snr Sgt Sarah Illingworth.
It's believed Te Hana is in the Christchurch area. Anyone who sees him or has information is urged to call police on 111, quoting file number 210103/2420, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Graham's death came just two days after another homicide in Christchurch. Two people have been charged with murder over that incident.
