A convicted murder who killed a paedophile is on the run in Wellington, with police warning he should not be approached.
Wellington police posted a photograph of Aubrey Thomas Harrison on Facebook, saying he has a warrant for his arrest.
It's thought he could be in the Manawatu or Wellington area and is considered dangerous.
Anyone with information on Harrison's whereabouts is urged to contact police on 105.
Harrison, now aged 40, was convicted of murdering Glen Stinson in 2007 after he found him sexually abusing a 10-year-old at a party.
Stinson was a repeat sexual offender starting when he was 17.
Harrison and two others abducted Stinson and drove him from Palmerston North to Foxton, where they beat him to death.
Harrison was jailed for life, with a minimum non-parole period of 12 years. He was released from prison in October last year under parole conditions.
