Police are continuing a homicide investigation into the deaths of a man and woman stabbed in Epsom on Friday.
Post-mortem examinations will be carried out over the weekend, and until the victims can be formally identified police will not name them.
The pair, understood by Newshub to be a mother and father, were stabbed in a house on The Drive just after 11:30am. A third person, believed to be their son, was taken to hospital with critical injuries.
He is now stable, and under police guard - but no formal charges have been laid so far.
A fourth person injured in the stabbing has been discharged from hospital and is being provided with victim support.
Detective Inspector Scott Beard said on Saturday the scene guard remains in place at the house.
"Police are not seeking anyone else in connection to the incident, and we do not believe there is a wider risk to the public as this appears to be a family harm-related incident."
Anyone with information about what occurred at the house is asked to contact Auckland City Police on (09) 302 6557 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
