Twelve people were injured, one seriously, in a jet boat crash near Queenstown on Sunday.
The crash, involving a KJet boat, happened on the Shotover River near Tucker Beach Rd at 11:40am on Sunday.
A St John spokesperson told Newshub one person was seriously injured and four sustained moderate injuries - all of whom were airlifted to Queenstown's Lakes District Hospital.
Another seven people had minor injuries and were treated by St John crews at the scene, the spokesperson said.
A KJet spokesperson said the company's emergency procedures were enacted "immediately" and a jet boat with two drivers was dispatched to the area.
"KJet is working closely with all relevant authorities including the Police, Queenstown Lakes District harbourmaster and the Transport Accident Investigation Commission."
The company has also launched its own investigation as well as halting all operations.
The spokesperson said KJet is "supporting all passengers on board, their friends and family as well as the driver involved in the incident".
