COVID-19: No new cases in the community, six in managed isolation

No new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the community in the past three days and six have been found in managed isolation (MIQ) facilies, the Ministry of Health said on Sunday.

The imported cases detected in MIQ are returnees from India, the UK, Egypt, and the US - all of whom arrived in New Zealand between March 21 and April 2. 

A Ministry of Health spokesperson said 12 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the past three days, bringing New Zealand's total active cases to 61.

In the past three days, 10,568 tests were processed and 29,151 were completed in the past week. 

The total number of tests processed by laboratories to date is 1,913,487, the ministry said.

The next COVID-19 case update is scheduled for Tuesday.
