Police have found a body in the search for a missing boatie in Gisborne, 9km away from where the vessel flipped.
Police say the boat overturned 3km south of the Awatere River mouth in Tikitiki on Friday afternoon.
Police and emergency services have been searching the river and located the man's body around midday on Saturday.
The man's death will be referred to the Coroner.
