Police are searching for a man missing off the rocks at Piha beach in west Auckland.
The man and a friend went fishing early on Tuesday morning and at 5:30am he was reported missing.
Footage supplied to Newshub shows the police Eagle helicopter and the Westpac Rescue helicopter searching the beach from above as dawn broke.
Piha Surf Club is also assisting in the search.
