The woman whose sudden death in Auckland on Monday sparked a police investigation was a top health director.
Detective Inspector Aaron Pascoe revealed on Thursday night the woman found dead on Monday at an Upland Rd address in the Auckland suburb of Remuera was 63-year-old Pauline Hanna, also known as Pauline Polkinghorne.
Hanna was found dead at the property on Monday and it is being treated as unexplained. A post-mortem was carried out on Wednesday and Det Insp Pascoe said on Thursday a scene examination remains ongoing and is "expected to continue for some days".
According to her LinkedIn profile, Hanna was the Executive Project Director at the Counties Manukau District Health Board.
In 2016, in her Counties Manukau Health role, Hanna took part in the Leadership NZ programme. According to a biography about her, Hanna offered skills in project management, process/continuous improvement and implementation, and change management.
"I am involved in several community Trusts however building on what I have gained this year, I am investigating how I can turn involvement into a much more significant contribution."
