There are two cases of COVID-19 in managed isolation and none in the community, the Ministry of Health confirmed on Sunday.
One person travelled to Auckland from the Phillipines via Singapore. The other case travelled from Pakistan via the United Arab Emirates.
Both cases returned a positive test on Day 0.
The total number of active cases in New Zealand is 27.
NSW travel bubble to reopen
The travel pause with New South Wales lifts on Sunday night at 11:59pm on Sunday, following a public health risk assessment.
Quarantine-free travel will resume between New Zealand and NSW on Monday, May 10 at 12:01am.
"The current assessment from New Zealand public health officials is that the risk to New Zealand from New South Wales remains low," the health ministry said in a statement.
"Public health officials have assessed that the situation in Sydney, following two community cases reporter earlier in the week, is contained and there is no evidence to suggest widespread, community transmission."
Sydney's COVID-19 restrictions to extend
Sydney residents will be forced to adhere to a number of COVID-19 restrictions for another week.
Snap restrictions were enforced on Thursday following the announcement of the two community cases.
A man in his 50s who tested positive for COVID-19 visited a variety of locations in Sydney's eastern suburbs including a movie theatre, a service station, an optometrist, a golf club and a meat store while unknowingly infectious.
Health authorities have decided to extend the restrictions until 12:01am on Monday, May 17 - as they work to identify the source of the infection.
These restrictions include:
- A limit of no more than 20 guests per household
- Masks are mandatory on public transport and indoor public venues
- Residents must be seated when drinking at indoor venues
- Visitors to aged are facilities are limited to two per day
