Police have made more arrests in relation to the recent tensions in Auckland between people linked to the Mongols and Head Hunters gangs.
On Friday morning, police carried out search warrants at two North Shore addresses.
"A 24-year-old man, who is an associate of the Mongols gang, was charged and appeared in the Auckland District Court today to face a number of drug dealing charges relating to the supply of Methamphetamine, Ecstasy and Cocaine," said Detective Inspector John Sutton.
"A 31-year-old man has also been charged with Possession Cannabis for Supply as a result of this morning’s warrants and was appearing in the North Shore District Court this afternoon."
Police are also appealing for sightings of Mikaere Puata-Chaney, 26, who is a Head Hunters gang member and has a warrant out for his arrest in relation to the Sofitel Hotel shooting incident on April 15.
Eight people have been arrested in relation to the investigation into that incident, which was linked to the recent tensions between the two gangs.
Puata-Chaney is understood to have access to firearms and is considered dangerous. He shouldn't be approached by members of the public. The man has linked to Auckland, Northland and the Bay of Plenty.
