A terrifying dairy robbery in west Auckland has been caught on camera.
CCTV footage from Sunvue Dairy in Glen Eden shows several men ransacking the dairy before making off with cigarettes on Thursday night.
The chilling footage starts with a silver car pulling up outside the dairy before three men jump out and bash in the door. One man is wearing a Halloween mask and another has a piece of fabric covering his face. The third man's face is uncovered.
A woman is inside the store when the men pull up but disappears out of shot soon after.
The footage shows one man grabbing what looks like a bag of lollies and a tray of ice creams, while the others attempt to get behind the counter where the money and cigarettes are.
The counter is blocked by a metal door and wires forcing the thieves to attempt to squeeze through the wire.
The first attempt doesn't go according to plan with one man nearly falling on his face before backing off.
His accomplice then comes to his aid, managing to squeeze through the wire using a different technique.
The first man follows his lead and the pair grabs cigarettes and the till before speeding off minutes later.
