A host of famous faces have wished Mark Richardson a happy 50th birthday.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, former Prime Minister John Key, cricketer Stephen Fleming and National leader Judith Collins were among those appearing in a video to send Richardson warm wishes.
Greens co-leader James Shaw even popped into The AM Show studio to deliver a vegan food box to "our favourite right-wing media personality".
Richardson told Shaw that when he is in charge of the National Party, the sports newsreader will be knocking on his door wanting to do business.
"I am not going to be there when that day comes because that is a long, long way away Mark. Give it your best crack," Shaw replied.
