Auckland commuters may need to find alternative transport on Monday morning due to several and delays across the city's train network.
In a tweet shortly after 8am, Auckland Transport (AT) announced major services will either be delayed or cancelled due to a "train fault" at Britomart Station in the CBD.
Onehunga line services are cancelled between Britomart and Penrose, with trains operating between Penrose and Onehunga. Southern line services towards Papakura will not stop between Britomart and Otahuhu, and all Britomart-bound services will terminate at Newmarket.
Commuters are urged to allow extra time for their journeys.
AT spokesman Mark Hannan told Newshub the faulty train has been towed from the station and services are "getting back to normal".
In an update at 9am, AT confirmed all Southern Line services heading towards Papakura are now operating as per normal via Newmarket, stopping at all stations.
As of 9:05am, Onehunga Line services are now reinstated between Penrose and Britomart. The first train departing Onehunga Station is scheduled at 9:15am, and the first service departing Britomart is scheduled at 9:08am.
