Australian traveller who visited Wellington
So far, 2710 people have been identified as contacts of the COVID-19-infected Australian traveller who visited Wellington between June 19 and 21.
Of those contacts, 2649 or 98 percent of people have returned a negative result, an increase of 22 negative test results since Friday.
Thirty-three people have been granted a clinical exemption and 21 don't require any further action, the Ministry of Health says.
The remaining six people are being followed up by contact tracing teams.
Those who were in Wellington during the dates the traveller was also there are encouraged to check the locations of interest page.
People who've been at these locations are urged to immediately isolate and call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice on testing.
Quarantine-free travel to lift for some Australian states
The travel pause for South Australia, the ACT, Tasmania, and Victoria will lift at 11:59pm on Sunday. The travel pause for Western Australia, Northern Territory, New South Wales, and Queensland remains in place and will be reviewed on July 6.
Travellers to New Zealand aren't allowed to have been in Queensland, Northern Territory, or Western Australia on or after 10:30pm (NZT) on June 26, 2021. They also must not have been in New South Wales on or after 11:59pm (NZT) on June 22.
For those who can now travel to New Zealand from Australia, a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of departure is required for all passengers before boarding flights.
Testing
The total number of COVID-19 tests processed by laboratories to date is 2,314,030.
On Saturday, 3870 tests were processed across New Zealand and the seven-day rolling average is 6576.
"We'd like to remind all New Zealanders that anyone who is symptomatic should call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice on testing," the Ministry of Health says.
This testing data doesn't include the number of tests processed by Waikato DHB, since systems remain down as a result of the cyber attack. The Waikato data continues to be recorded manually and monitored and will be added to the tally once systems have been restored.
Manual data shows Waikato has this week been processing about 400 tests a day.
