A house and garage have erupted into flames in Auckland's Te Atatu Peninsula, with one bystander capturing the violent blaze funneling thick, black smoke into the sky.
It's currently unknown if anyone was inside when the fire ignited on Tuesday morning, a Fire and Emergency (FENZ) spokesperson told Newshub.
A crew of five firefighters rushed to the property on Harding Avenue shortly after 8am and found the building "well-involved" in flames, the spokesperson said.
Footage supplied to Newshub shows thick plumes of black smoke pouring from the property as the bright orange fire rages on.
