The Westport community will be given an update on Wednesday evening about the region's response to the weekend's devastating flooding.
Hundreds of West Coast residents were forced to evacuate on Saturday as a large winter storm moved across the country.
Dozens of homes were destroyed in the floods and hundreds of cattle washed up on local beaches.
On Wednesday evening Westport Mayor Jamie Cleine and Civil Defence Controller Sean Judd are hosting a community meeting to provide an update on the response to the flood.
