The Prime Minister and Director-General of Health will provide a COVID-19 update following the announcement of a new community case in Auckland on Tuesday.
Jacinda Ardern and Dr Ashley Bloomfield are scheduled to speak at a press conference from the Beehive Theatrette at 6pm, where they will give new details on the case and explain how the Government and health officials will respond.
It comes just hours after the Ministry of Health announced it had launched an investigation into New Zealand's first case of community transmission in 170 days.
No link has yet been established with the border nor a managed isolation and quarantine facility.
