Members of an anti-lockdown convoy remain at Auckland's southern border on State Highway 1 on Thursday after causing disruptions on Wednesday.
Police say officers will continue to monitor the protesters at the southern checkpoint at Mercer on Thursday.
Officers on Wednesday prevented participants of the "hīkoi" - who had travelled from Rotorua aiming to get to Waitangi and gather in the name of "freedom" - from breaking through any COVID-19 boundaries.
"There were no significant issues in relation to the group of protestors at the southern checkpoint on SH1 overnight," a police spokesperson said in an update on Thursday morning.
"Up to 75 people remained at the scene overnight and there was no disruption to traffic flow through the checkpoint, which was light. The group remain at the site this morning."
No protesters remained at Auckland's border with Northland - where officers also stood off with 'Sovereign hīkoi of Truth' supporters trying to breach that border on Wednesday.
"Police will continue to monitor this group throughout the day to ensure the safety of everyone involved, including other members of the public travelling through the checkpoint," the spokesperson said.
Possible enforcement action was being considered against some protesters, police confirmed on Wednesday.
