Christchurch teen slaying accused in hospital, excused from court appearance

A 32-year-old man charged with the murder of teenager Connor Whitehead has been excused from appearing in the Christchurch District Court on Tuesday morning.

The man, who has interim name suppression, was excused by the judge from appearing because he is in hospital.
