A homicide investigation is underway after a man died in Auckland's Middlemore Hospital on Sunday.
The 22-year-old was dropped off at a Takanini medical centre at about 12:45pm with critical injuries. He was then transported to Middlemore Hospital, where he died from his injuries a short time later.
"Police are working to establish the circumstances leading to the man's injuries, and to identify the person/s who dropped him off at the medical centre," a police spokesperson says.
No information was given from police about what the man's injuries were.
