Three people have been charged with the murder of a west Auckland shooting victim.
Robert James Hart, 40, was "senselessly killed in a driveway" on Great North Rd in New Lynn on Friday morning, Det Insp Kevin McNaughton said on Tuesday.
On Wednesday police said they'd arrested three people after executing a search warrant at a west Auckland address with the aid of the armed offenders squad.
Two men, aged 31 and 37, and a 20-year-old woman have been arrested and charged with murder.
All three are due to appear in the Waitākere District Court on Thursday.
"The investigation team's enquiry work remains ongoing and police cannot rule out the possibility of further charges," Det Insp McNaughton said following news of the arrests.
"Police would like to thank the community for their assistance thus far with the investigation."
