The armed offenders squad (AOS) and police negotiation team (PNT) both attended the incident. Cordons were put in place and residents are asked to stay in their homes as a precaution.
Police now say nothing of interest was located at the address.
"Enquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident," a spokesperson says.
"Police thank nearby residents for their understanding while we were in attendance."
