State Highway 1 was completely blocked in both directions north of Auckland on Tuesday morning due to a crash that injured three people.
Police confirmed three people were injured after a two-vehicle collision shortly before 8am on SH1 near Puhoi. One person is in a critical condition, one is serious and one person has moderate injuries.
The road has since reopened.
Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency said earlier that the highway was blocked in both directions north of Hungry Creek Rd in the Puhoi area.
Auckland Transport said bus route 995 was suspended at the time. However, it is now resuming its normal service.
