A homicide investigation has been launched after a man died at Middlemore Hospital on Saturday morning.
The deceased man arrived at hospital around 6am with critical injuries and died shortly after then.
Police said they are working to establish the circumstances around the death and there is a scene investigation underway at the velodrome in Manukau.
Detective Inspector Karen Bright, Counties Manukau Police said in a statement formal identification of the body was underway.
