Another person has drowned during New Zealand's summer holiday period, a police spokesperson has confirmed.
At around 1:30pm a person was reported to emergency services as being unresponsive after getting into difficulty in the water at Wenderholm Regional Park in the Auckland region.
"CPR has been provided at the scene but unfortunately the person has died," the spokesperson said.
No details have been given about the age or gender of the person.
The death will be referred to the Coroner.
A child has also drowned in Northland's Kai Iwi Lakes on Tuesday, police said.
They're the latest in a growing number of people dying in Aotearoa's water over the Christmas break period, including four drowning in the Manawatū River in Palmerston North.
Emergency services are also currently searching for a male swimmer in the Waingaro River, west of Ngāruawāhia.
