Searches are underway this morning to locate a missing swimmer at a southern Auckland beach.
Police say they were notified at 8:15pm yesterday that a person was missing in the water at Karioitahi Beach.
They say aerial and water searches took place last night but the person has not been found.
There have been at least 30 water-related deaths since the beginning of December.
