A man's body has been found at Lake Pupuke in the Auckland suburb of Takapuna.
The police dive squad has been combing the lake since a man disappeared into the water on Tuesday night.
Police said a man's body was found late on Wednesday.
"Our thoughts are with the man's friends and family at this difficult time, and police are ensuring there is support for the family in place."
Police will be referring the man's death to the Coroner.
