Police are still searching for missing man David Holland who disappeared from his Bay of Plenty home a week ago.
The 31-year-old was last heard from on the evening of Friday, March 11. His friends believe he was intending to go for a swim at Pāpāmoa Beach near the end of Pacific View Rd.
He later didn't show up for work - which police say is out of character - and they as well as his loved ones have concerns for his welfare.
Police said a large search party is planned for Saturday.
"It will involve several volunteers walking the sand dunes in the Pāpāmoa Beach area.
"Police would like to thank staff from Surf Life Saving NZ and Coastguard, as well as numerous volunteers who have assisted so far."
The spokesperson said to date nothing has been found that would give any clues to Holland's whereabouts or movements.
"We are still asking to hear from anyone who might have seen David on the evening of Friday 11 March, especially on or around the beach," police said.
Anyone who can help should call 105 and quote file number 220312/6869.
