A search has resumed for a man who went for a swim in the Waikato River and is now missing.
Police say the man had been on the river bank on Thursday evening with two others when he got into the water for a swim.
Emergency services were called at around 6:30pm when he didn't resurface.
Police coordinated a search using boats and jet skis but didn't locate him last night.
The search will continue today.
