Footage posted to YouTube shows alleged gang members riding their motorbikes into traffic heading the other way on a busy road.
The footage was taken by YouTube member Gofernator who posted "These unskilled and dangerous riders get caught out overtaking on a double yellow line and then the cheese grater center rope starts and 4 head into on coming traffic and almost crashing. Total idiots in motion."
Bernhard Schweighofer told the Herald the bikers tried to force him off the road near Karapiro, but he held his ground and they ended up on the other side riding into traffic.
