The dramatic moment three vehicles ram-raided a south Auckland shopping centre has been caught on camera.
In videos Newshub has obtained, a silver vehicle speeds into the mall, knocking over a table before racing out of shot.
Then a group of eight thieves sprint after the silver vehicle with a white car following in hot pursuit.
A third vehicle - a blue car - stops outside the 2degrees store in the mall when a further five people exit the car.
Four of the five people sprint further into the mall following the white and silver vehicles, while the fifth person gets back into the car.
The blue car then reverses and speeds off in the direction of the two other vehicles.
The footage continues from a different angle in the mall, which shows the three vehicles speeding through the mall at high speed with the thieves on foot following behind the cars.
A third video shows the thieves loading up their cars outside Noel Leeming.
Police said they are continuing to investigate the ram raid incident that occurred at around 1:10am on Tuesday and that it endangered security and cleaning staff.
"Police understand three stolen vehicles were used in the incident, and multiple offenders have entered three stores in the complex, taking a number of electronic items and clothing," police said.
"The offenders' behaviour and manner of driving has endangered security and cleaning staff working in the retail complex at the time."
Photos of the massive damage to the mall and shops caused by the thieves show a large glass door completely shattered and electronics smashed.
The Ormiston Town Centre said in a statement they'll be increasing security measures at the shopping centre following the incident and are concerned by the increase in incidents across Auckland.
The latest incident comes after Louis Vuitton and Gucci's Auckland stores on Queen Street were ram-raided on April 11.
